Nalas Engineering was honored to host State Senator Art Linares at our facility on April 4, 2013! As State Senator for the 33rd Senate District, he represents the towns of Chester, Clinton, Colchester, Deep River, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland, and Westbrook. A Westbrook resident, Sen. Linares is Ranking Member of the Connecticut General Assembly’s Banks Committee and Ranking Member of the Select Committee on Children. Linares also serves on the Commerce and Education Committees.
Sen. Linares is supporting several pro-business measures, including a bill to eliminate the state’s business entity tax, a bill to cancel a gas tax hike slated for July, and a bill which provides incentives for college and technical school graduates to establish a new business in the state.
The Senator met with President and CEO Jerry Salan and the Nalas team to discuss the company’s mission, vision, and goals for sustaining a presence in his district for the long haul. The Senator demonstrated a keen interest in small businesses, innovation and technology, and a commitment to bringing in jobs to our area! We are delighted to have gained his support.
