Check out a recent publication featured in Tetrahedron Letters by Nalas Chemist Matt Burk, Ph.D., which describes synthesis of a protected form of N,N-dimethyl-L-pyrrolosamine on greater than 10-gram scale. This compound is a critical intermediate in ongoing efforts to synthesize the complex natural products (−)-lomaiviticins A and B, which have potential applications in the treatment of cancer. Matt contributed to this effort during his postdoc in the Herzon Group at Yale University.
Tetrahedron Letters is the International Journal for the Rapid Publication of all Preliminary Communications in Organic Chemistry. The Journal provides maximum dissemination of outstanding developments in organic chemistry.
